Personal Motivation & Philosophy
For Dr. Peter Bonifatto, dentistry is personal. Growing up, he knew what it felt like to be self-conscious about his smile until orthodontic treatment transformed his confidence. That experience shaped his philosophy: dentistry is not just about fixing teeth, it is about giving people back their confidence. His approach is conservative and patient first, focusing on preserving natural teeth and treating every patient with the same care he would want for himself.
Education & Training
Dr. Bonifatto is a Las Vegas native who earned both his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He graduated in the top 20 of his class and has pursued hundreds of hours of continuing education to stay at the forefront of dental technology and techniques.

With over eight years of experience and more than 25,000 patients treated, Dr. Bonifatto’s expertise spans comprehensive general dentistry, cosmetic treatments, and clear aligners. He has worked in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas, becoming the highest producing associate at a major dental group before co-owning a private practice with a venture capital group. Today, he continues to provide care at Summer Dental & Orthodontics as an associate while also building innovative patient focused dental brands.
Community & Personal Life
Dr. Bonifatto is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Southern Nevada Dental Association. He also supports the Human Rights Campaign, reflecting his commitment to inclusivity and equality.
Outside the office, he enjoys cooking, baking sourdough bread, mountain biking, and photography. He has produced educational videos for TikTok and Instagram, reaching millions of viewers with approachable and trustworthy dental content. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, he strives to create a welcoming space for every patient.
Fun fact: his last name, Bonifatto, means “made well” in Italian, which reflects his dedication to quality and excellence in dentistry.
